Tailor-made training programs

Instituto Barraquer organizes Premium Courses, on demand, for partners in the pharmaceutical industry and the entire ophthalmological community. These are aimed at groups of up to 100 national and international professionals who are interested in deepening their knowledge in a specific area and learning firsthand from the real-life experience of our ophthalmologists.

These courses are customized to match your specific learning goals and often combine theoretical knowledge, live demonstrations, and practical case studies.

For each project, we design a tailor-made program according to the attendees' objectives and profiles.

We offer you all our resources and services: internationally renowned speakers, facilities, technology, equipment, materials (pig eyes, masks, surgical instruments,...), technical support, catering service, and full coordination and event organization.
 

Barraquer has various spaces dedicated to teaching and hosting medical and corporate events, both internal and external.

Here’s an overview of the available spaces for your trainings and presentations:

AUDITORIUMS:

• Auditorium I: Located on the first floor of the same building as the Barraquer Ophthalmology Centre, just a few steps from the surgical amphitheatres equipped for live surgery observations.
• Auditorium II: Located on Laforja Street, 51 (next to Aribau Street), about 50 meters from the Barraquer Ophthalmology Centre.

ROOMS:

• Instruction Surgery Room: A multipurpose space on the 6th floor of the same building, with 7 surgical workstations (WetLab), an adjacent room with a state-of-the-art 3D simulator, and adaptable furniture for other types of training.
• 5th Floor Room: Located on the 5th floor of the same building.
• Research Department Room: Located on the 6th floor within the internal Research Department, just steps from the Instruction Surgery Room.

SPECIAL AREAS FOR CATERING AND SOCIAL EVENTS:

• Pergola: Outdoor area on the 2nd floor of the building, a spacious patio surrounded by the iconic architecture of Barcelona’s Eixample district.
• Rooftop Café Terrace: Outdoor rooftop area on the 7th floor of the Barraquer building, designed to offer a comfortable environment that enhances the learning experience inside and outside the classroom.
• Tram Area: Indoor space a few meters from the surgical amphitheatres and Auditorium I. Formerly used as a secondary entrance to some parts of the Centre, now a historic and architecturally valuable landmark.
