1. PRIVACY AND DATA PROCESSING
1.1.- RIGHT TO BE INFORMED
In accordance with the provisions of Article 11 of Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 of 5 December on Data Protection and Guarantee of Digital Rights (hereinafter the LOPD) and Article 13 of the General Data Protection Regulations, we hereby inform you that:
1.1.1.- Data controller identification
The three organisations which, in their respective areas, are responsible for processing may compile data on this website. Each form indicates to whom the collected data will be sent. That organisation is the data controller. The data controllers on this website are:

1.1.2.- Purposes of processing and legal basis
The data you provide on the forms found on the website, the information you send to our email address and that which may be generated during the relationship with the data controller will be incorporated into a database of which the data controller is the owner.
We will use your data to provide the services you request from us and send you information about our activities and services by email or post.
The legal basis of this processing activity is your contractual relationship with the data controller and the consent you grant upon accepting this notice.
1.1.3. Recipient categories
To fulfil the abovementioned purposes, the following will have access to your data:
- The personnel duly authorised by the data controller’s management.
- The providers required to fulfil your request.
- The government departments in the area of their competence.

1.1.4.- International data transfer
The Barraquer Ophthalmology Center, the Barraquer Institute and the Barraquer Foundation use a Customer Relationship Management software (CRM) to manage customer information and carry out a personalized follow-up in order to improve the provision of the services they provide. For security reasons, this information can be hosted in a cloud, so the information can be stored outside the European Union. In accordance with the indications of the Council of Europe, the Barraquer Ophthalmology Center has signed standard clauses with its suppliers that guarantee an adequate level of protection, equivalent to that provided by European regulations. In case you want to be excluded from this data processing, you only have to notify the Center at any of the addresses that appear in this document.
1.1.5.- Length of time information is to be stored
The data controller shall keep the information unless consent to this clause is revoked.
1.1.6.- Rights
You have the right to access, rectify, delete and oppose the processing of your data, to limit its treatment, to request portability of your information, to not be the subject of automated individual decisions and to revoke your consent.

1.1.7. Right of complaint
The correct body for the application of data processing regulations is the Autoridad de Protección de Datos, with registered office at Calle Jorge Juan 6, Madrid.
1.1.8.- Obligations
The affected party must provide true and up to date information in all the data collection processes and is the only party responsible for the breach of this obligation.
Depending on the request made by the affected party, the data that must be provided is indicated on the data collection forms. Failure to provide this data may mean that you cannot take part in an activity or that the service you have requested cannot be provided.
1.1.9.- Creating profiles
To meet the objectives of the data controller and, above all, provide the user with a more personalised, precise and efficient service, it is sometimes necessary to create profiles of those the services are intended for. Profile creation is not undertaken automatically in any case.
1.2. USER CONSENT
By clicking on the ‘ACCEPT’ button found on all the data collection forms or by sending an email message, it is understood that the user accepts the terms and conditions.
The personal data stored in the Barraquer Ophthalmology Centre general administration database guarantees the technical and organisational methods that preserve the integrity and security of the information processed.
1.3. SECURITY
The general database has a mandatory security document and has determined all the technical measures within its power to avoid the loss, misuse, alteration, unauthorised access and theft of the data facilitated. The processing of personal data is in accordance with the regulation set out in Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council 27 April 2016.
1.4.- COOKIES AND STATISTICAL DATA COLLECTION
Any user browsing this website leaves a trace of the IP address assigned to them by their Internet provider. This address will be used exclusively for internal purposes, such as the Portal access statistics.
