Further details of our Master's programme

Each programme is supported by 60 ECTS credits and lasts one academic course.

The programme runs from October to June and is aimed at doctors and ophthalmology specialists in training. The teaching staff comprises both in-house specialists and external professionals, who contribute their expertise to the training courses.

The curriculum is structured into teaching units (modules) that include a period of self-study in our Virtual Classroom and online sessions (master classes). Theoretical bases are acquired through online multimedia content of different formats and typologies, thus enabling students to derive greater benefit from the professional experience of the teaching medical team in streaming master classes.

Each module is designed as a complete teaching unit that links with the rest of the modules, presenting the contents in a progressive and coherent way. This allows the student to access the material gradually as the master's degree progresses.

The completion of these postgraduate degrees also requires the submission of a research project, which is then supervised by one of our ophthalmologist doctors and a specialist from the Barraquer Research Department.

In both master's programmes, students are invited to attend a few days of in-person activities at the Barraquer Ophthalmology Center, where they can establish relationships and exchange knowledge and experiences.
