At the Barraquer Ophthalmology Centre, our dedication to comprehensive eye care extends to a specialized department exclusively focused on paediatric ophthalmology. This meticulously designed unit is committed to addressing ocular pathology in childhood, considering the distinctive features of a child's developing eyes and the ongoing visual maturation process. Our expert team comprises ophthalmologists, optometrists, and nursing staff, all specially trained to interact with our youngest patients.

From birth to adolescence, we diagnose and treat a wide range of vision problems, each presenting its own level of complexity. Through the utilization of resources for minimally invasive exploration and the integration of cutting-edge technology tailored to the unique needs of pediatric patients, we ensure a thorough and gentle approach. Notably, we surpass general care by offering a high level of subspecialization. This enables us to effectively address diseases affecting various structures of the eye, including eyelids, extraocular muscles, cornea, lens, retina, and more.

In addition, we provide a children's waiting room designed to create a playful environment for kids and their families as they await treatment from our professionals. Our overarching aim is to ensure that every child receives optimal and personalized care.
