Unlawful use and manipulation of doctor Elena Barraquer's image

At Barraquer, we wish to inform you about the recent appearance on social media of videos fraudulently using the image of Dr. Elena Barraquer. These videos, manipulated using artificial intelligence, are entirely false and portray the doctor promoting a "natural remedy" to be prepared at home. This content is baseless and has no connection to our institution or to the doctors at the Barraquer Centre.

We would like to clarify the following:

• The videos are entirely false
  This content was neither created nor authorized by Dr. Elena Barraquer or the Barraquer Centre. It is a malicious manipulation aimed at misleading the public and spreading false information.

• Illegal use of identity and image
  The use of Dr. Elena Barraquer’s image, as well as any association with the Barraquer Centre in these videos, was done without consent and illegally. This constitutes a serious violation of our rights and the reputation of our institution.

• Legal actions initiated
  We have filed a formal complaint with the Mossos d’Esquadra to investigate and prosecute those responsible for these actions. Furthermore, we will continue to pursue all necessary legal measures to safeguard the reputation of the Barraquer Centre and Dr. Elena Barraquer.
