Frequently asked questions about new Covid measures

30/10/2020

The Barraquer Ophthalmology Center remains fully operational and functioning normally after the recent declaration of the state of alarm, the curfew and the perimeter closure of Catalonia, announced on October 29.

We continue to work on our covid-19 containment protocols to ensure the best eye care for our patients. Next, we clear up some of the recurring doubts that this new situation leaves us:

• Is the Center open? Does it work normally?

Yes, the Barraquer Ophthalmology Center remains open non-stop and maintains all its activity: scheduled visits and surgeries, as well as the 24-hour emergency service, every day of the year.

• What are the safety measures adopted by the Center?

Since the beginning of the pandemic, we have followed a strict protocol that guarantees the safety of patients and all staff. We are currently recognized as a safe space with the Covid Protected seal for having a protection system against the Sars-CoV-2 coronavirus. You can check all the measures we have adopted at the following link: barraquer.com/covid19

• Will I be able to get to the Center if my visit is not urgent and the competent authority stops me?

Yes, according to Resolution SLT / 2700/2020, of October 29, approved by the Department of Health of the Generalitat de Catalunya, travel for health reasons is still allowed. To do this, you must bring with you the medical appointment document that we will provide you previously.

• Can I come if I live outside of Catalonia?

Yes, travel for health reasons is one of the exceptions of the recently decreed perimeter closure of Catalonia. You can travel to the Center as long as you have the document of your medical appointment with you. If you require the presence of a companion, you must request a specific receipt for that person.

• What type of mask is recommended?

We recommend the use of surgical masks or FFP2 without a valve. We do not recommend cloth masks.

• How can I make an appointment?

You can book an appointment online, by filling in the appointment form, or by calling 932 095 311. For other inquiries, we are also at your disposal through the email info@barraquer.com
