Patients who have presbyopia but have not yet developed a cataract can be treated with laser surgery or intraocular lens implants (IOLs). There are different types of IOLs, which adapt to the needs of each person.
Multifocal IOLs
There are different types. Most of them, despite having a lower optical quality than monofocal IOLs, allow very good vision at practically all distances. The selection criteria will be very important and each lens will have different features.
In both cases, the lenses are implanted surgically. Before the intervention, state-of-the-art preoperative tests are carried out to accurately calibrate the most appropriate parameters for each patient.
